…out of the goodness of your heart

In Kenya I met some remarkable people displaying amazing faith in difficult situations.  During that time and since I have received many requests for financial support and seen much opportunity to give even when none has been sought.  I thought it is the least I can do to mention these faithful and God fearing servants who press on in the face of constant financial and practical (not to mention spiritual) difficulty and opposition.

The generosity of God’s people in the form of my church, friends and family was crucial in sending me to Kenya. I want to call on this generosity again for the sake of others in God’s work.

Opportunities to give are many

Individuals

Mainly those seeking staff fees and/or school fees and living expenses to continue to serve on YWAM bases in Kenya. As an organisation YWAM doesn’t pay any staff, everyone relies on God for what they need. If you want more specific details of who these individuals are then please ask.

One British woman who did the DTS at the same time as me has a vision to provide clothing, bibles, meals etc… to the street children in various parts of Kenya. Her passion and heart for this vision is huge but she requires help to do it.

Organisations

Youth With A Mission Athi River Base, where I spent most of my time, is an amazing place with plenty of vision but too little cash.  When I was there I saw persistent prayer bring in much needed money to fund a number of projects. You could be the next answer to one prayer that I can guarantee they are praying. http://www.ywamathiriver.org/index.html

www.Kindfund.com – A charity supporting several children’s homes and feeding projects. Set up by a British couple and doing a great work of mercy ministry and evangelism in rural Kenya. I spent two weeks with them.

Hold these people and needs in your mind and if you feel moved to give either in a one-off gift or regular giving then I can put you in touch with whoever is on your heart. I can assure that those who need support will put your gift to good and honourable use.
